Stone, citrus and quiet beauty

Fornalutx sits above the Sóller valley in the folds of the Tramuntana mountains, its terraced orange and lemon groves cascading down to the valley floor below.

The village is tiny — fewer than 700 inhabitants — but its perfectly preserved stone architecture, flower-draped balconies, and cobbled lanes have earned it a place on virtually every list of Spain’s most beautiful villages.
